The Development of the “Clean Justice Initiative” Coalition Project is aimed at strengthening the alliance of three civil society organisations – Freedom House Romania, Expert Forum and the Romanian Center for European Policies – for the purpose of joining their expertise to confront new challenges in the justice reform and in the fight against corruption, in an active, preventive and efficient manner. The project tackles new issues such as: recovery of the proceeds of crime, extended confiscation, sustainability of the fight against corruption, monitoring of public procurement and of manifestations of phenomena such as “state capture”.
The project is focused on strengthening the coalition and on building its ability to react to developments relevant for justice reform and for good governance.
The establishment of three monitoring and reporting instruments will result in a consolidation of the monitoring capacity of the coalition and of its members.
The direct beneficiaries of the project are the three organisations, but also key public institutions of the judiciary or public institutions in the field of public procurement and decision-making transparency.
The Development of the “Clean Justice Initiative” Coalition Project is funded by the EEA Grants 2009-2014, within the NGO Fund in Romania. The strengthening of the “Clean Justice Initiative” Coalition is supported by the Open Society Institute.
